- You will visit the landing page of Acpa where you can watch the 6 minutes video which explains the program of Africa’s first child support very well outlining what it is, where the funds will come from, how much the child will receive, other benefits, how to enroll. You can also click on the “Advert” icon on the same landing page to view some of the simple adverts which also communicate the program in much simpler terms.
- You will see “Create Account” and this will guide you towards creating your account on the platform where the child support will be accessed.
- You will see a form with basic information requirements and you simply fill it with relevant details beginning from number of children, their names, date of birth, sex, and your basic email and phone number as the parent enrolling the child/children. The maximum number of children you can enroll as a parent under one email account is 10. If you have the reference number of the person who referred you to the program, kindly add it at the right section but if you don’t, it’s also not a problem as you can proceed with the account creation.
- You will see a message after submitting the form which will tell you that an email has been sent to you. You will need to log into your email and get your username and password, then click log in to go back on the platform where you will then put the user name and password to access your personalized portal in the platform.
- When you log in, click on “Child Support” to now access your dashboard as a child support subscriber. You will then see a message requiring you to purchase the computer tablet. Click on the link and you will access the product specifications page, pick out a payment plan hat is convenient for you and pay.
- You will then receive a letter acknowledging that the child has been put into the child support system as well as when the benefits will begin including a link to download the Development Channel App into your phone so log in can be at your fingertips.
- You will receive messages and notifications when necessary and can also request for support for the child in education, healthcare and others as well as be able to withdraw money every month from the system for the child using your E-Pin.
